The electric vehicle market continues to evolve, with pioneer Nissan remaining an important player. Building on the success of the Nissan Leaf, we now have the Nissan Ariya, a compact all-electric utility vehicle. The 2025 Nissan Ariya offers a sleek design, cutting-edge technologies, generous power, and ample range. If you are shopping for an electric vehicle, this Nissan model is certainly worth looking into.
Just as the Nissan Leaf set the table with its futuristic design with its 2011 debut, the Nissan Ariya has done likewise. This model features a shield-like front grille with an illuminated Nissan emblem and intricate Kumiko-pattern elements. Slim LED headlamps and a full-width rear LED light bar emphasize this model’s high-tech presence. A high waistline, sloping roofline, and minimal body detailing offer a sophisticated expression.
Like its predecessor, the 2024 Nissan Ariya, the 2025 model seats five with supportive bucket seats up front and a wide bench seat in the rear. The vehicle's wide stance and flat floor design ensure ample hip and legroom front and rear. And even with a sloping roof, there is plenty of headroom for all.
The cabin features a space-age look with dual 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Take note of the wave-like design that encourages seamless driver interaction. Four USB ports, wireless Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ are standard on the connectivity front. A six-speaker audio package with a 10-speaker Bose® system comes standard on top-trim models. For 2025, all trims now include a wireless charging pad.
Cargo space measures 27.9 cubic feet behind the second-row seat. Fold down the seat and just over 58 cubic feet of storage capacity is available. With the battery pack under the floor, every cubic foot is usable. Not every competitor offers that.
The defining feature of the Nissan Ariya is its electric battery system. Choose the 66 kWh battery, which offers a 205-mile driving range. Optionally, a 91 kWh battery extends that range to 289 miles, well within the top range of its competitors.
Offered in standard front-wheel drive, the Nissan Ariya also supplies available all-wheel drive. The Evolve+ model is the most powerful of the four trims offered, delivering a robust 389 HP and 442 lb-ft of torque. Power routes to the wheels utilizing an electronic transmission.
Charging times vary with the 2025 Ariya, depending on the source utilized. Connect to a fast public charger and the Ariya reaches 80% capacity in 35 to 40 minutes. Opt for a home Level 2 charger and it takes 7.5 hours to charge the smaller battery or 10.5 hours for the larger one. We recommend overnight charging to keep the Ariya at full capacity.
This year, Nissan consolidated the Ariya’s trims from six to four.
Engage
Kicking things off is the Engage with its standard front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive. It features all the amenities mentioned, along with standard 19-inch aero wheels.
Evolve+
The Evolve+ brings in several comfort features and adds a panoramic moonroof.
Engage+
The Engage+ comes with standard all-wheel drive and enhanced power.
Platinum+
At the top of the range is the Platinum+. This model is equipped with Nappa leather seating and the Bose® audio system. It also has Nissan’s lauded ProPILOT Assist system for hands-free driving and parking.
Tax Credits and Incentives
Shoppers should know that the 2025 Nissan Ariya comes with a $7,500 federal tax credit. This works because eligible taxpayers may deduct the credit, effectively reducing their tax burden. California incentives may also apply. Our sales team at Palm Springs Nissan can talk you through all of the finance options available to you.
