The first 2021 Nissan model is here, and we couldn’t be more excited for it. Introducing the 2021 Nissan Titan, a full-size truck with the most powerful base engine in its class. It combines raw athleticism with superb safety and connectivity features to make for an attractive option.
Let’s take a look at what to expect from the new 2021 Nissan Titan, from its powertrain all the way to its safety suite.
The 2021 Nissan Titan has a powerful base engine. Each model is powered by a 400-horsepower 5.6-liter V8 that produces 413 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a tough-as-nails nine-speed automatic transmission. All but the Pro-4X trim comes standard with RWD, though 4x4 is available at every level. Whether you choose the base model King Cab S 4x2 or the top-tier Crew Cab Platinum Reserve 4x4, the 2021 Nissan powertrain is rugged and reliable. The Nissan Titan has an EPA estimate of 16/21/18 MPG.
The 2021 Titan comes standard with the smartphone compatibility that buyers desire. Even the base S model with the starting MSRP of $39,280, has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth capability. All those features are controlled via an 8-inch touchscreen that utilizes the NissanConnect infotainment software. There’s also a USB charging and input port. Numerous upgrades are also available, including a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, a premium Fender audio system, an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot, and additional USB ports.
Every 2021 Titan comes standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite. Included in that package are automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic emergency braking, high beam assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert. Other systems are also standard, like a rearview camera, hill start assist, and trailer sway control. Multiple upgrades are available to those who want them, such as a surround-view parking camera system, a motion-detecting sonar system, adaptive cruise control, and more.
