As you can see from the table above, the 2021 Nissan Altima despite costing a few extra thousands, gives better engine specs as compared to the 2021 Honda Civic. The 2021 Nissan Altima is available in five different trim levels: S, SV, SR, SL, and Platinum, to name a few. To begin with, every model comes with a basic 2.5L four-cylinder engine that generates up to 188 HP for FWD models and 182 HP for AWD variants, respectively. However, a 2.0L VC-Turbo turbo-four with 248 HP and 273 lb.-ft. of torque is available for the SV grade (with premium fuel). Only front-wheel drive vehicles may use this engine. The SR VC-Turbo variant has paddle shifters as well as the VC-Turbo engine. Both engines come with the Xtronic CVT®. The EPA estimates of the 2021 Nissan Altima are 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway.
The Honda Civic has only 97.8 cubic feet of passenger capacity, while the Nissan Altima offers 100.8 cubic feet. While both the Nissan Altima and Honda Accord come standard with many of the same safety features, only the 2021 Nissan Altima has the Tire Pressure Monitoring system and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning.
