Choosing an SUV is exhausting. Taking every manufacturer into consideration, there are well over 100 SUVs (and crossovers) to choose from. Too much choice can be paralyzing. We’re here to help ease that burden a bit.
Today, we’ll be comparing the first three 2020 Nissan Pathfinder trims: the S, the SV, and SL. Take a look below to see which is right for you.
Every 2020 Pathfinder is powered by a 2.5-liter V6 that puts out 284 horsepower. The engine is paired with CVT. The standard drivetrain is FWD, but AWD is available. On the connectivity side of things, the S trim has an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, HR radio, and six USB ports. Remote keyless entry, push-button start, and tri-zone automatic climate control are also standard. Safety-wise, the S boasts forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera.
The SV trim upgrades the tech significantly. It gets standard blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and fog lights. Inside the cabin, there’s a freshly added leather-wrapped steering wheel and power-adjustable driver’s seat. Proximity keyless entry and remote start round out the trim. The available Rock Creek Edition package adds synthetic leather upholstery, special black exterior elements, and a tow hitch. The available Technology package adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated side mirrors, as well an integrated navigation system.
There are many premium features added at the SL level. This trim gets leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and a hands-free power liftgate. It also gets integrated navigation, LED headlights, and a surround-view camera parking system. The Rock Creek Edition package is available here as well, sans the synthetic leather upholstery. The new Premium package adds a panoramic moonroof and a 13-speaker Bose audio system.
