Every 2021 Nissan Frontier comes standard with a 3.8L V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 2021 Frontier is one of the only trucks in its class to come standard with a V6. The 3.8L V6 produces 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. The 2021 Frontier can tow up to 6,720 lbs and has a max payload of 1,460 lbs. 4×4 models come with a switch-operated two-speed transfer case. Pro-4X models also sport a Dana 44 rear axle and an electronic locking rear differential.
