Powertrain Options
The 2021 Nissan Frontier standard drivetrain depends on trim. RWD is standard on the S and SV trim, while 4×4 is standard on the Pro-4X trim. 4×4 is an available option for the S and SV as well. All 2021 Frontier models are powered by a 3.8L V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the 2021 Frontier can pull up to 6,720 lbs and haul 1,460 lbs in the box. Configurations capable of maximum towing and hauling are the S RWD and SV RWD. For best off-road capability, though, the Pro-4X is recommended. It comes with hill descent control, a locking rear differential, and a limited-slip system.

There are two packages available on the 2021 Nissan Frontier. Both are only available on the SV Crew Cab trim. Check below to see what they add.
