2020 Nissan Frontier Performance Specs and Features
When it comes to trucks, performance is everything. It doesn’t matter how excellent the interior quality is or how many connectivity features it has. If it can’t do all the stuff a truck is supposed to do, then what’s the point?
So then, which performance features does the 2020 Frontier have? For instance, does it have a locking differential? Is it limited-slip? Keep reading to find out that and more.

Performance Features
Every 2020 Nissan Frontier model is available with 4×4, a limited-slip locking rear differential, and hill descent control. This, plus the 9 inches of ground clearance, makes every Frontier model adept at handling off-road conditions. However, if your 2020 Frontier is intended for heavy off-road use, we recommend upgrading to the Pro-4X trim, as it adds Bilstein shocks, skid plates, all-terrain tires, tow hooks, and off-road high-legibility gauges.
Performance Specs
For 2020, the Nissan Frontier received an all-new powertrain. Gone are the four-cylinder and five-speed automatic from 2019. Instead, every 2020 Frontier sports a 4.0-liter V6 under the hood. It produces 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. That’s 109 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque more than the four-cylinder engine. The engine is paired to a buttery smooth nine-speed automatic transmission. The 2020 Frontier has a max towing capacity of 6,720 lbs, as well as a max payload of 1,460 pounds.
Available Features
The 2020 Nissan Frontier is a no-nonsense truck. However, that doesn’t mean it can’t be outfitted with some excellent features. Available options include a moonroof, integrated navigation, a 10-speaker Rockford Fosgate stereo system, the Utili-Track moveable tie-down system, heated seats, and more.
