Brand-New Crossover EV Coming Soon
In July 2020, Nissan revealed the 2022 Ariya, the company’s first all-electric crossover SUV. It is built on the all-new Alliance platform, signaling a commitment to expanding into further all-electric vehicles. The Ariya looks different than anything Nissan has produced before, building off of what Nissan is calling Timeless Japan Futurism. On the performance side of things, the Ariya will be offered in four powertrain variants: 2WD with 63 kWh capacity (280 mile range), 2WD with 87 kWh capacity (380 mile range), e-4ORCE AWD with 63 kWh capacity (270 mile range), and e-4ORCE AWD with 87 kWh capacity (360 mile range). The Ariya will also feature the e-Pedal, which lets the driver launch, accelerate, and decelerate with only the accelerator pedal. For clarification’s sake, the Ariya will also have a normal brake pedal. To learn more, check out the official Ariya press kit.
