Rogue vs Rogue Sport: 3 Major Differences

There are three main differences between the 2020 Nissan Rogue and 2020 Nissan Rogue Sport: size, engine, and price. The 2020 Rogue is bigger, has a more powerful engine, and has a higher starting MSRP of $25,200. Conversely, the 2020 Rogue Sport is smaller, has a less powerful engine, and costs less. It’s base model MSRP is $23,240. Let’s take a closer look the specifics.

Size and Dimensions

While both the Rogue and Rogue Sport can seat five people, they are not the same size. The 2020 Rogue measures in at 184.5 inches. Behind its rear seats, there is 39.3 cu-ft of cargo space. With the rear seats folded down, it maxes out a 70 cu-ft. The 2020 Rogue Sport is 172.4 inches long. It has 22.9 cu-ft of cargo space behind its rear seats. That extends to 61.1 cu-ft with the rear seats folded down (53.3 cu-ft on the SV and SL trims). Back-seat legroom is less spacious in the Rogue Sport.

Engine and Performance

The 2020 Rogue has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT, like most other Nissan vehicles. The 2020 Rogue Sport, being smaller and shorter, has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 141 horsepower and 147 lb-ft or torque. Like the 2020 Rogue, the 2020 Rogue Sport also has a CVT. Both the Rogue and Rogue Sport come standard with FWD and have AWD as an option at all trim levels.
