There are two things (from an engineering standpoint) that make the Titan and Titan XD different. They are:

Drivetrain

Titan – Standard RWD, available 4WD

Titan XD – Standard 4WD

Towing Capacity

Titan – 9,210 lbs (3.69:1 drive ratio)

Titan XD – 11,000 lbs (4.08:1 drive ratio)
