Safety is a big deal. Driving is the most dangerous activity that many of us do on a daily basis. So, skimping on safety features is a total no-no in the automotive world. Yet so many auto manufacturers do exactly that. Luckily, Nissan is not one of them.
Nissan vehicles are widely recognized to come standard with a lot of safety features. Today, we’ll be looking at the 2020 Nissan Maxima and seeing which safety features it has standard.
Every Nissan Maxima model has the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite. Included in that package are forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, and forward collision warning. Some other standard features are lane departure warning, driver attention monitoring, automatic high beams, and a rearview camera. There are a few additional safety features that are added with various trims. These available features include adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view parking camera system, traffic sign recognition, and rain-sensing automatic wipers.
The Maxima also comes standard with a fair amount of integrated tech. For instance, each Maxima comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth capability, satellite radio, voice command capability, two USB ports, and an eight-speaker stereo. Proximity keyless entry, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster display, and dual-zone automatic climate control are also standard. Available features include an 11-speaker premium Bose audio system, HD radio, a dual-pane panoramic moonroof, NissanConnect, a power rear-window sunshade, and much more.
