Did Nissan Rogue win cars.com best compact SUV? It did, in fact. The Nissan Rogue won cars.com’s 2021 Compact SUV Challenge. This challenge was a week-long test of six of the most popular compact SUVs on the market in the US. The vehicles were put through several tests, including handling loops, cargo space, interior quality, and driver-assist technology availability. What was the criterion for the cars.com 2021 Compact SUV Challenge?  

The 2021 Nissan Rogue received top grades in four different categories. This includes the rear seat comfort and amenities, user interface (how users interact with the vehicle’s controls), multimedia (media feature offers), and in-cabin storage. Additionally, it also got high marks in several other categories. The user interface category involves the ease of use of the climate controls, multimedia system, and steering wheel controls. It also includes gear selector, and other vehicle controls. This category award was also won by Rogue.   

The Rogue Platinum, which Cars.com tested, had a very family-friendly backseat. The Rogue’s rear automatic climate control — instead of passive vents — was only two in the test with the feature. It was the only one with sunshades built into its rear doors, which is a coveted convenience feature if you’re carrying children. Finally, the Rogue tied for first place with four other vehicles in the powertrain category. In contrast, driver-assistance technology tied for first place with four other cars.
