The 2021 Sentra has excellent safety ratings from both official US safety institutions that test automobiles. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the 2021 Sentra the highest rating of “Good” in moderate overlap front testing, side impact testing, rear crash protection, roof strength resting, small overlap front driver testing, and small overlap front passenger testing. It also received the highest rating of “Superior” in front crash prevention. Similarly, the 2021 Sentra received high ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It received a 5-star overall rating, with a 5-star score for side crash and rollover tests and a 4-star rating for frontal crash tests.
