NissanConnect remote service is great. With it, you can do all sorts of stuff, like using your smartphone to schedule service for or get diagnostics from your Nissan vehicle, as well as utilize equipped features like setting the automatic climate control or remote starting your vehicle.

But first time set up can be challenging if you’re not in the know. Let us help. Here’s how to set up NissanConnect on your Nissan vehicle.


How to Use Remote Start Without a Smartphone


NissanConnect Step-by-Step Instructions

Connecting your vehicle to your smartphone via NissanConnect isn’t as hard as it can seem. With the following instructions, you’ll be connected to your new Nissan in no time.

  1. Download the NissanConnect app on your smartphone from the Apple Store or the Google Play Store.
  2. Create an account by entering your name, email, and password.
  3. Log in into your NissanConnect account with the email and password from Step 2.
  4. Enter your vehicle’s VIN to connect your Nissan to your account.
  5. Update your vehicle’s channel list with your vehicle’s infotainment system by selecting the following options:
    • Settings
    • NissanConnect Services
    • Information Channel Setting
    • Edit Channel List
    • Update Channel List
    • Yes
  6. Get the pairing code with your vehicle’s infotainment system by selecting the following options:
    • Info
    • NissanConnect Services
    • Information Channels
    • Account Information
    • Car Pairing Code
  7. Enter the pairing code into the NissanConnect app on your smartphone.
  8. Activate NissanConnect services by following the prompts after entering the pairing code.

And you’re done!
